Students from Bonnie Letinich's class toured Washelli

Several students from a graduate level class in the School of Social Work from the University of Washington recently had a tour of Evergreen Washelli led by community relations coordinator Dale Amundsen. The class is in end-of-life issues and is taught by Bonnie Letinich. Ms. Letinich has taught this class for several years and, each time, invites Amundsen to present the role of the funeral home. The instructor assigns the students to have a tour of Washelli. The tour involves 75 minutes of visiting our lobby, viewing rooms, arrangement rooms, our selection room, chapel, columbarium and the crematory. Washelli is pleased to have this opportunity to support the education of those in social work.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner!

Thanksgiving is on Thursday, November 26th, Evergreen Washelli is working with Friends of Hope to put a nice dinner with the trimmings on a table of at least one local family in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. We’d be even happier if donations would allow us to help even more families.

Donation boxes are being set up at our Abbey View, Bothell, and Seattle locations. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food donation to place in the closest box. Please, no cash donations, but if you wish to bring a gift card from a local grocery chain, that would be great!

So that we may get these gifts to Friends of Hope to distribute, please have your donations in by Wednesday, November 18th. Thank you for your participation!
