October 01, 1954 - September 02, 2012
Kelly Crowder, loving husband, father, and son died peacefully in his home on September 2, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Kelly is survived by his wife Corrie Crowder, son Alex Crowder, parents Sharon and Robert Fitzgerald, brother Michael Crowder, and a multitude of wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kelly was born October 1, 1954 in Ballard (Seattle), Washington. When he was nine years old his family moved to California, and by the time he was eleven his family had settled on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. There Kelly learned how to surf and later completed his carpentry apprenticeship. Kelly returned to the main land when he was 25, and although the weather was a difficult transition for him, he stayed so he could be closer to family and take advantage of the building opportunities in the northwest. Here in Seattle Kelly completed his management training with the AGC and worked his way up to superintendent. During his long and rewarding career, Kelly successfully oversaw the completion of many homes, offices, and mixed-use buildings in the Pacific Northwest and out of state. Kelly was also an avid fisherman and when he wasn't working he enjoyed both bank fishing and boat fishing in Puget Sound and the many rivers and lakes of Washington.
Kelly, you were taken from us too soon. You will be remembered, you will be missed, and you will be loved forever.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. George Birchfield and all the nurses and staff at Puget Sound Cancer Center. We know your loving care not only extended his life, but also greatly improved the quality of the time he had. Thank you.
Memorial services will be held Saturday September 15th, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Washelli, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle, WA.
