Mamie L. Taylor

November 12, 1914 - September 10, 2013

In Loving Memory

Mamie L. Taylor was born in Mobile, Alabama on November 12, 1914 to the parents of Charley Taylor Sr. and Mattie Lee Taylor. She was third of four children.

Mamie served as the secretary of the choir of the Revelation Baptist Church at a young age and later became one of the musicians.

She came to Seattle on many occasions, then decided to live in Seattle in 1965. She was also the first musician for Paradise Baptist Church for 25 years. For the past two years she was not able to attend services because of her health but was faithful to send her tithes whenever she could. Mamie was selected to serve on the Mother Board of Paradise Baptist Church in the early eighties. She leaves a legacy of wisdom and knowledge to her one and only daughter Ethel Moore and her four grandsons, Emanuel L. Finch (wife ElDoris), Walter L. Finch (wife Arlene), Reginald G. Moore (wife Bonita), and Kenneth W. Moore (wife Chevelle), and their families. We love you Mommie Dear, rest in peace. From all your children.
