Hilda Montanez Catague, age 32 of Seattle, WA passed away on August 30, 2012 surrounding by her family. She was born on September 19, 1979 to Willie and Emma Catague.
Hilda graduated from Rainier Beach High School and then attended the University of Washington and Renton Technical College. She was part of the Filipino Youth Activities (FYA) Drill Team, Rainier Beach Dance Posse, and danced hula. Shortly after high school, Hilda moved to New York City, where she lived for 8 years and gave birth to the love of her life – Steven Marc-Andre Artiles on September 19, 2007, a birthday they share.
She loved music, especially Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake. Hilda also enjoyed reading (Twilight and Hunger Games), dancing, and watching TV and movies.
Hilda is survived by her four year old son, Steven Marc-Andre Artiles, parents Willie and Emma Catague, sister Dalisay Daisy Catague, brother Jay Montanez, and niece Isis Coaxum. She loved her family deeply.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the education fund for the benefit of Hilda’s son, Steven. Please make checks payable to Steven Marc-Andre Artiles. Donations may be given at the funeral services, or can be mailed directly to the Catague Family at the address below.
