Norio Mitsuoka
August 23, 1917 - January 03, 2010
In Loving Memory Norio Mitsuoka passed away on January 3rd in Renton, WA. His parents were Satoru Mitsuoka and Kane Sugita.
He graduated from Garfield High School, and at the outbreak of World War II, he was interned at Minidoka, Idaho. Norio acted as Chief of the Fire Department.
After WWII, Norio attended Michigan State College. He was employed by Northrup Grumman in Los Angeles for over 30 years.
After his first wife passed away, Norio moved back to Seattle, and in 1991 he remarried.
Norio devoted much of his time and energy to tape many videos of Japanese historical events for Nisei Vets Committee. He was a lifetime member of Nisei Vets Committee.
Norio is survived by his beloved wife, Laurette, two step-daughters, his sister-in-law, 5 children from his first marriage, many grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral Information
A memorial service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, January 16th, 2010 at the Japanese Presbyterian Church, 1801 24th Ave S. Seattle, WA
