Robert (Bob) Frivold was born in Tacoma, Washington, April 16, 1912. He passed into the arms of the Lord he loved on October 25, 2012. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Ruth Adelia Frivold and is survived by his four children and spouses, Melinda Iverson of Seattle, Washington, Carolyn and Johan Ros of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Robert and Dawn Frivold of Seattle, Washington, Randal and Solveig Frivold, of Chiangmai, Thailand, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Bob and Ruth Frivold went to Japan in 1952 as missionaries with the Assemblies of God after graduating from Northwest Bible College and studying Japanese at Seattle Pacific College. While there, they built and established three churches and shared their love of Jesus with many. In retirement they began the Japanese Womenís Luncheon and helped many Japanese students work out problems that arose from cultural differences. Bob was active in Menís Prayer Group and many other activities at Calvary Christian Assembly, their home church in Seattle, Washington. Bob turned 100 in April and his family hosted 200 people at a birthday celebration. He blessed and will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Christian Assembly on Sat.
