Wreaths will be laid throughout the Veterans Cemetery, and at the graves of the Congressional Medal of Honor recipients throughout the grounds. One wreath for each branch of the US Military will be placed at the Doughboy Statue as well.
Wreaths Across America will be honoring Veterans at cemeteries throughout the United States and welcomes sponsors as well as volunteers. WAA founder Morrill Worcester grows the balsams in Maine, harvesting the branch tips which are then crafted into wreaths and delivered across the country as a labor of commitment and love.
If you would like to volunteer at the wreath laying at Evergreen-Washelli, please contact Lorraine Zimmerman of Navy Wives Totem #277: firstname.lastname@example.org or (425) 220-1766.

Washelli Veterans Cemetery was founded by Evergreen-Washelli owner Clinton Harley in 1927 when veterans of the Spanish-American war expressed the wish to be buried in a military cemetery. (At that time there was no federal cemetery in the state of Washington.) It is our privilege to care for the men and women who have served our country, as well as the family members who rest with them, and we are honored that Wreaths Across America includes us in their annual tribute to these citizens who answered their country’s call to arms.
