Evergreen Washelli’s 91st Annual Memorial Day Celebration

On Monday, May 29 , 2017, Evergreen Washelli will host our Annual Memorial Day Commemorative Service. Please join us as we honor America’s heroes and heroines, and salute the flags on our “Avenue of Colors”.

At 7:00 AM, there will be a Flag Placement at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Veterans, scout groups, churches, local organizations and families will place flags at each of the 5,000 white marble upright markers in the Veterans Section.

There will be a concert at 1:30 PM, followed by the Service of Remembrance which begins at 2:00 PM. Our featured speaker will be Colonel Brad Klippert. Colonel Klippert serves as the Commander of the Washington State Guard as well as holding a seat in the Washington House of Representatives.

Following the Memorial Day Commemorative Service, we invite you to attend a guided tour of the Veterans Memorial Cemetery and learn about the remarkable lives of the Medal of Honor recipients in our care. The tour will commence at 3:15 PM, and your guide will be David Bloch, whose father was himself a Medal of Honor recipient.

We hope you will join us for this very special day. If you would like to volunteer your time for this event, please contact us: (206) 362-5200 or email us: info@washelli.com.
